1. DESCRIPTION
Protecting and drossing off flux for aluminium and its alloys.
2. PROPERTIES
Physical state: Solid, crystalline powder, odourless.
Density: 1.1 gr/cm ³
3. OTHER CHARACTERISTICS
Hygroscopic.
Composition:Salt mixture highly composed by alcaline chloride. It contains
also some fluoridated salts.
4. METHOD OF USE
TEKPURAL AA is employed to protect and dross off molten aluminium and
its alloys in reverbatory furnaces or in crucibles with very high efficiency,
thanks to its' special formulation. The temperature range for optimum drossing
off reaction is between 720 °C and 760 °C. The addition amount can vary
between 0,2% and 0,5% of the weight of the treated melt.
5. ADVANTAGES
The application during melting of a protective cover of TEKPURAL AA
on aluminium alloys significantly reduces the formation of dross. The final
drossing-off, such as injection by fluxing wands, results in powdery dross
which poor in metallic aluminium and easy to remove from the melt with a suitable perforated tool. Therefore it is very
useful for economics of the melting process by preventing aluminum being
trapped in the dross.

Store in the dry place in the original sealed packing. 8.
SAFETY
Subject to moisture pick up.Avoid contact with the skin and inhalation
of dust and fumes evolved. Work with forced fume draught.
